Winner-takes-all in third ODI

The winner of the third ODI between England and India at Leeds on Tuesday will win the series 2-1 as the series is level after India won the opener and the hosts squared the series in the second.

France win 2018 FIFA World Cup

A thrilling encounter between France and Croatia in the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup ended in France’s favour as they won the game 4-2.

An own goal from Mario Mandzukic, a penalty from Antoine Griezmann and goals from Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe meant that France won the World Cup for the second time, following their success in 1998.

Croatia, who did fight back through an equaliser from Ivan Perisic and another goal from Mandzukic, gave it their all, but had to finish runners-up.

Tennis

Djokovic claims fourth Wimbledon title

After more than two years, Serbian Novak Djokovic won a Grand Slam title once again as he won his fourth Wimbledon title and 13th Grand Slam with a 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (3) victory over South Africa’s Kevin Anderson in the final.

Germany’s Angelique Kerber had won the women’s title on Saturday, defeating Serena Williams 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
