Wednesday’s La Liga action saw surprise defeats for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. After lowly Leganes stunned Barcelona 2-1, Real Madrid missed a chance to go to the top of the table as they slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Sevilla.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain made it seven wins to start their Ligue 1 season with a 4-1 victory over Reims.

Borussia Dortmund remained hot on the heels of Bayern Munich in Bundesliga with a thumping 7-0 win over Nuremberg.

Paulo Dybala, meanwhile, broke his duck by opening the scoring in Juve’s 2-0 win over Bologna in Serie A.
