Did 2016 go by too fast, or did we have so much fun we didn’t realise the time go by? How is the new year coming along? We hope you have done some interesting things in the first few days of this year. Resolutions, new-year-new-me oaths, and what not. It doesn’t matter if you have not because you have the whole year ahead of you. We add four fresh books (among so many!) that have been just released to your list of to-do things. Happy new year, and happy reading!
Word of Mouse by James Patterson
Word of Mouse follows the story of a unique mouse named Isaiah whose fur is as blue as the sky. He is a special mouse who can read, write and also talk to people. Reminds us of Despereaux Tilling, the title character from Kate DiCamillo’s The Tale of Despereaux . Just a tad. Anyway, Isaiah makes a daring escape from a laboratory, and is separated from his “mischief”, meaning mouse family. He has to depend on his special skills to make it till he finds his family. And like Despereaux, Isaiah too finds some interesting friends along the way.
