RailRestro to deepen service in South, North East

RailRestro, an e-catering service provider owned by Yescom India Softech Pvt. Ltd., has announced plans to expand its service at railway stations in South India and North Eastern States.

“Right now, we are increasing the number of railway stations for our services in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Also, we are planning expansion in the North-East region,” said Manish Chandra, co-founder & director.

“We have developed a team to forge partnerships with tour operators and travel agencies for taking group orders,” he added.

Stating that the firm had introduced its own delivery fleet, he said about 60 delivery partners had been deployed at top performing stations and their number was on the rise. The firm is in the process of introducing its own physical kiosks at stations so that people can order their food on the spot.

“We are also planning to set up our own food outlets at top performing stations so that it will be convenient for passengers to order food in train. They can also visit our outlets and enjoy their cuisine there,” he added.

The firm is now it is delivering around 12,000 meals per day, which is insignificant when compared with the potential of more than 10 lakh meals per day in the railway network.
