Gold prices on April 24 declined by ₹50 to ₹32,720 per 10 gram in the national capital on subdued demand from jewellers, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

Silver also declined by ₹200 to ₹38,225 per kg on reduced offtake by industrial units and coin makers.

Traders said easing demand from local jewellers and retailers at the domestic market led to a decline in gold prices.

Globally, spot gold was trading marginally higher at $1,274.20 an ounce, while silver was up at $14.93 an ounce in New York.

In the national capital, gold of 99.9% and 99.5% purity dropped ₹50 to ₹32,720 and ₹32,550 per 10 gram, respectively.

However, sovereign gold held steady at ₹26,400 per eight gram.

Silver ready fell ₹200 to ₹38,225 per kg, while weekly-based delivery slumped ₹315 to ₹37,005 per kg.

On the other hand, silver coins held flat at ₹80,000 for buying and ₹81,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
