Hetero USA Inc. is recalling nearly 13,692 bottles of Acyclovir Tablets (800 mg, 100-count bottle), an antiviral drug, for presence of foreign substance. They wereThe product being recalled has been manufactured at Hetero Labs’s Unit V in Jadcherla (near Hyderabad) and made for Camber Pharmaceuticals, according to the latest enforcement of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Hetero Drugs is the parent company of Camber Pharmaceuticals. The voluntary recall, due to presence of foreign substance — human hair melded into tablet — falls under the Class III classification of the U.S.FDA. The regulator classifies Class III recalls as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.”
