Healthcare start-up Practo hires top industry executives

Practo, that provides an app and web service for scheduling appointments with doctors has hired top industry executives Anshumani Ruddra and Tarun Bhambra. They would lead new product teams in areas like professional networking and prescription at Practo.

Prior to joining Practo, Mr. Ruddra headed mobile gaming studio called Tiny Mogul Studios at Hike Messenger, owned by Bharti SoftBank. An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Mr. Ruddra was also the game design lead on some of the top multi-player online games such as Mafia Wars and Café World. During his tenure, Tiny Mogul built games like Dadi vs Jellies and Shiva: The Time Bender - one of the first Indian made games to be featured on Google Play globally.

Mr. Ruddra will now build products that will help the nearly 200,000 healthcare professionals on Practo connect and communicate amongst themselves.

“I am thrilled to join the team and build a game changing dedicated networking platform for healthcare professionals that allows them to seamlessly exchange ideas as well as gather peer opinion,” said Mr.Ruddra, product head for networks at Practo.

Tarun Bhambra, another executive hired by Practo was co-lead of healthcare investments at venture capital firm Matrix Partners. Mr.Bhambra will lead a product team at Practo to help it achieve the goal of becoming a single health app for all health and wellness needs of consumers.
