General Motors on Wednesday rolled out its premium SUV Chevrolet Trailblazer in the India market with a price tag of Rs.26.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

“This is a very important model for us as it kick starts the first of the ten new products that we plan to bring to India in the next five years,” General Motors India President and Managing Director Arvind Saxena said. As part of plans to turnaround its fortunes in the India, the American auto maker had in July said it will invest $1 billion here, besides launching 10 new models under the Chevrolet brand in the next five years. The Trailblazer is powered by 2.8 litre diesel engine.

“It is Chevrolet’s toughest yet most refined SUV, offering premium ride and handling dynamics,” Mr. Saxena added. 

Other features include projector headlamps, ceiling-mounted rear air-conditioning controls with four vents for the second-and third-row seats, a six-speed automatic transmission, a 7-inch touch screen and the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system.

Customers will be able to book the SUV on amazon.in from October 21-25.
