VSP stores to buy GCC products

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Employees' Consumers Cooperative Stores Ltd. (VISPECCS) and the Girijan Cooperative Corporation Ltd. (GCC) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding for business relationship. As per the agreement, the GCC will supply its products to the stores on a long-term basis.

President and secretary of the stores M. Krishna Rao and B. Taudanna and GCC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director B. Trinadha Rao signed the agreement. GCC Officer-on-Duty Kartik Misra, who took initiative for this MoU was also present on this occasion.

VISPECCS was established during 1984 to cater the needs of the employees of VSP. The stores has 16,000 members with an annual turnover of Rs.30 crore. The branches of VISPECCS are spread over Ukkunagaram, HB Colony and Rehabilitation Colonies with a network of 26 outlets.
