Tikona Infinet to explore enterprise data services market

February 20, 2012 11:07 pm | Updated February 22, 2012 02:29 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Broadband and IT service provider Tikona Digital Networks (TDN) on Monday said it has completed the 100 per cent acquisition of HCL Infinet, the data services arm of HCL, by way of purchase of equity. The new entity, Tikona Infinet (TI), will jumpstart TDN's entry into the rapidly-expanding enterprise data services market.

Tikona Infinet combines the network assets, organisational capabilities and customer base of TDN and HCL Infinet.

The new entity will have a diverse infrastructure partner network to deliver enterprise data services, virtually anywhere in the country. This, along with TDN's 10,000 high bandwidth nodes in the top 40 cities, will enable Tikona Infinet to deliver data services on demand to the growing small and medium business (SMB) market.

“With this acquisition, Tikona Infinet will gain a strong foothold in the managed enterprise services market,” said TDN Founder and CEO Prakash Bajpai.
