Dhanalakshmi Bank takes additional directors on board

Private sector lender Dhanalakshmi Bank on Monday announced the appointment of two Directors to its Board - Ghanshyam Dass and Sateesh Kumar Andra.

The appointments are with effect from July 31 and would raise the total board strength from six to eight, a release issued here said.

Mr. Ghanshyam Dass is the Senior Advisor of KPMG and Advisor, Intel capital. He has been associated with NASDAQ QMX for the Asia-Pacific as the Managing Director, Majan International Bank in Oman as General Manager and with the British Bank of the Middle-East in India as its CEO, the release said.

Mr. Sateesh Andra has vast experience of more than 15-years in promoting and guiding enterprises in software, semi-conductor, Internet and electronics industries.

He has wide-ranging experience in nurturing start-ups and creating profitable small-scale enterprises. Mr. Andra is on the Board of start-ups like MetroMela, mGinger and Pressmart, started by young and first-generation entrepreneurs, the release said.

Dhanalakshmi Bank’s Chairman G N Bajpai expressed happiness on the appointments and said, “We are extremely pleased to welcome both Mr Dass and Mr Andra to the Dhanalakshmi Board of Directors. Their extensive and diverse experience in banking and VC funding from across the globe will enable them to bring in fresh perspective to the Board.”
