The BJP State unit described the Union Budget as “all-inclusive and all-pervasive” with a thrust on infrastructural development that has tremendous potential to spur growth. The budget had also taken concrete steps to protect the interests of farmers and other social sectors, the party said.

In a release, BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa said the budget had balanced the day-to-day needs of the masses and all sections of society besides being development oriented. “This is a pro-people budget in the real sense,” he said. “In nutshell, this is an inclusive budget with international standing.”

He said, “I just want to ask the critics what they have to say about the GDP growth of more than 7.4%? Is this not a factor which indicates the country’s growth.”
