Tracking the Economic Survey 2016-17

Every year, on the day before the Union Budget is presented in the Parliament, the Economic Survey, an official report of the state of the economy, is tabled. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on January 31 provided an account of the economy’s prospects and policy decisions.

The Survey listed the challenges that might impede India’s progress. The Survey highlighted the difficulties in privatising public enterprises.
