A. C. Muthiah buys TPL shares from open market

Tamilnadu Petroproducts (TPL) has informed the stock exchanges that A. C. Muthiah, a director of the company, has bought 225,814 shares from the open market on February 17, 21, 22 and 23, 2012, taking his total stake in the company to 226,815 shares from 1,001 shares held earlier.

It may be recalled that the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on February 2, had appointed his son Ashwin C. Muthiah, a Director, as Vice-Chairman of the company in place of Mr. A.. C. Muthiah. However, the senior Muthiah continues to be a director of the company.

The shares ended at Rs. 15.95 on the National Stock Exchange on Monday.
