TCS BPO head Abid Ali Neemuchwala quits

Abid Ali Neemuchwala, head of the BPO arm of Tata Consultancy Services, has put in his papers after spending over 23 years in the company.

“A Neemuchwala has decided to pursue his career interest outside TCS,” the software major said in a statement.

He had joined TCS in 1992, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He completed his Masters in Industrial Management from IIT, Mumbai after his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from National Institute of Technology, Raipur.

As per TCS’ annual report 2013-14, the business process services segment accounted for 12.02 per cent (Rs. 9,837.06 crore) of the company’s total revenue of Rs. 81,809.36 crore.

Revenues were higher by over 25 per cent compared to the 2012-13 fiscal.

TCS BPO unit ranked at the second spot, after Genpact in Nasscom’s 2013-14 top 15 tally of BPO players in the country.
