Premium two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield, a unit of Eicher Motors Ltd, has posted a 42.4 per cent increase in total sales at 33,918 units in April.

The Chennai-based company had sold 23,818 units during the same month of previous year, Royal Enfield said in a statement.

Sales in the domestic market yielded a 42.8 per cent growth in April to 33,118 units from 23,180 units sold in April 2014.

On the exports front, the company witnessed a 25.3 per cent jump in April 2015 at 800 units as against 638 units shipped in same month of last year.
