NIIT Technologies opens digital center in Bengaluru

NIIT Technologies, a BSE-listed technology company, has opened a centre of excellence here to serve its existing digital customers and rope in additional clients, according to a company statement.

The centre will focus on emerging technologies in cognitive business process management (BPM) such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT).

It will have modern IT infrastructure, IoT labs and digitally-enabled training rooms. The Bengaluru centre will act as the central hub for all cognitive BPM solutions and innovations hub.

“The solutions made in this CoE will add tremendous innovation value for the existing customers and will be the catalyst to add new customers to NIIT Technologies," according to the statement.

Promoters hold 30.67% in the company and the rest is held by the public.

The digital process transformation practice in NIIT Technologies, headquartered in Noida, is powered by its two subsidiaries -- Incessant and RuleTek.

NIIT Technologies' total revenue for the year ended March 2018 grew 6.8% to Rs. 29,914 million while net profit rose 12.1% to Rs. 2,802 million.

"This CoE will fuel our growth strategy through world-class infrastructure, increasing our ability to service global customers, hire diverse talent from the area and work in close proximity to our partners," Madan Mohan, global head, data and automation said.
