Industry expands product offering; add 4 new categories

Global retail giant Amazon’s India online store on Thursday said it has added four new product categories - toys & games, baby products, personal care appliances, and health care devices – on its website. said going forward it will add more categories, including home & kitchen, in the coming weeks ahead of Diwali. “We are excited to launch four new stores today and expand selection on > in time for the festive season,” Amazon India Vice President and Country Manager Amit Agarwal said.

The online retail site, which entered the Indian market in June this year, now offers products across 11 categories.

The store claimed it now offers the largest online selection of toys in India with over 8,500 products from over 80 brands including Lego, Funskool, Hotwheels, Barbie, V-Tech, Ravensburger, Mellissa & Doug, Silverlit, and Maisto.
