A set of landmark interviews with personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Annie Besant, Aurobindo Ghose, Rabindranath Tagore and George Bernard Shaw among others is the latest e-book co-published by The Hindu Group and Juggernaut Books on Thursday. Most of the interviews were published in The Hindu in the first half of the last century.

As many as 15 volumes have been brought out so far under an arrangement between the two on subjects as diverse as Tamil Nadu politics, the Goods and Services Tax, and practical science. Other important interviews published in The Hindu over the years will be featured in e-books to come.

The books have mainly drawn on material from the digitalised archives of the 138-year-old newspaper. “There is an astounding variety of riches and we want to make this available, and inexpensively, to our readers,” said P. Jacob, Senior Managing Editor, who is coordinating the project with a team of The Hindu ’s archivists and journalists.

The books, which may be purchased for mobile devices through the Juggernaut app, or for the desktop at www.juggernaut.in , are priced at ₹30.
