The Sindhi Panchayat has passed a resolution wherein the tardy brides and the grooms would have pay Rs 5000 fine each for arriving late at the venue. Though brides and grooms are prone to lose track of time on their wedding days, the Sindhi panchayat thinks that discipline should be maintained in these occasions. The panchayat also prohibited brides from dancing in public. The resolution says the bride may dance only within the confines of the marriage venue and that, too, only in the presence of family and friends. These resolutions are in harmony with those passed by the national convention of Sindhi panchayat held at Bhopal.
