Vishnu loses in quarterfinals

Second seeds Vishnu Vardhan and Jose Statham of New Zealand lost 7-6(4), 7-6(6) to Andrey Golubev and Michail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan in the doubles quarterfinals of the $125,000 President’s Cup Challenger tennis tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Wednesday.

In singles, Sriram Balaji lost 7-6(7), 6-7(4), 6-0 to fifth seed Marsel Ilhan of Turkey in the first round.
