Samantha Stosur of Australia moved up to a career-high number eight from 10 in the women’s tennis rankings issued on Monday by the WTA after reaching the final of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart on Sunday.
The American Serena Williams continues to top the rankings with 7,946 points from Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark (6,255) and Dinara Safina of Russia (6,150).
