Ramkumar Ramanathan bowed out of the US Open qualifying event after losing his second round match to Frenchman Nicolas Mahut 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-2 on Friday.
Ramkumar’s loss means India will not have representation in singles at the Grand Slam. All Indian players will stay here for a camp for next month’s Davis Cup tie against Canada in Edmonton.
