Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan made the singles quarterfinals and doubles semifinals in the $15,000 ITF men's Futures tennis tournament in Libreville, Gabon.

Another Indian lad, Sagar Ahuja, also made the singles quarterfinals but lost 6-4, 6-4 to third-seeded Ruan Roelofse of South Africa.

In the $15,000 ITF men's tournament in Winnipeg, Canada, seventh-seeded Saketh Myneni beat Omar Jasika of Australia 7-6(5), 7-6(3) in the first round.

In doubles, he was seeded second with Dimitar Kutrovsky of Bulgaria, and made the quarterfinals without breaking into a sweat.

Fourth-seeded R. Ramkumar retired in the third set against Chih-Jen Ho of Chinese Taipei in another $15,000 ITF men's tournament in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei.

Sriram Balaji, V.M. Ranjeet and Suraj Prabodh also failed to cross the first hurdle in the event. However, Balaji and Ranjeet made the doubles semifinals.

$15,000 ITF men, Canada: First round: Saketh Myneni bt Omar Jasika 7-6(5), 7-6(3).
