Honour for Bopanna

Rohan Bopanna has received the Davis Cup Commitment Award, an honour accorded to players who have competed in at least 20 ties.

Kris Dent, ITF executive director of professional tennis, and All India Tennis Association secretary Bharat Oza presented the award to Bopanna at the KSLTA Stadium here on Saturday, ahead of the doubles rubber in the World Group playoff against Serbia.

The 34-year-old from Karnataka is the ninth Indian to receive the award.
