Australian tennis No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt is to join forces for the second time in his career with renowned coach Tony Roche in an effort to lift his flagging world ranking.

Hewitt is training after an injury layoff and announced he will reunite with Roche in 2011. Roche previously coached Hewitt between July 2007 and August 2009.

Hewitt said he would have Roche as his main coach but would work also with Josh Eagle, one of the coaches of Australia’s Davis Cup squad.

Currently ranked 55 in singles, Hewitt said “I’m really looking forward to working with both guys and feel that if I can keep the body performing then I can climb back up the ranks again.”
