Sagar Manjunath of Jain University (Bangalore) and Sai Samitha (MOP Vaishnav) won the men’s and women’s singles tennis respectively in the Chairman’s Trophy inter-collegiate meet, organised by D.G. Vaishnav College.
Sagar (AITA ranking 58) defeated Ritwik Anand (SRM) 6-3, 6-2. He later paired up with Sai Sharan Reddy to defeat the duo of Pritiv and Venkat of SRM to clinch the doubles title 7-6(4), 1-6, 10-8.
Samitha ousted M. Arthi of Ethiraj College 6-0, 6-1 for the women’s title.
