Arts catches the eye

Arts and Starlight Magic caught the eye when the horses were exercised here on Monday morning (Oct. 4).

Sand track:

600m: Surmount (V.Jodha) 40. Urged. Beemer (Shammi) 39. Moved freely.

800m: Guernica (Neeraj) 57, 600/43. Easy. Feona (C.S.Jodha), Katrina (Belose) 54, 600/40. Former superior. Starlight Magic (Merchant), Star Of Roses (Jethu) 51, 600/39. Former strode out well and finished three lengths ahead. Light My Way (Jethu) 55, 600/41. Retains form. Lady Genereuse (Merchant), Starry Ocean (Jethu) 51, 600/39. They moved level freely. Arts (M.Narredu), 49, 600/37. Moved attractively. Lord Of Killarney (Baria) 53, 600/39. Moved well. Jalsa (rb) 57, 600/43. Easy. Starry Glow (Merchant), Sea Warrior (Jethu) 53, 600/39. Both were urged and ended level.

1,000m: Crystal (Neera), Firemiss (M.Narredu) 1-8, 600/39. Former moved well while the latter was pushed to finish level.

1,200m: Flying Jewel (rb) 1-21, 600/41. Moved well.

Mock race (Race track) — Oct. 3:

1,200m: Sea Ruler (Merchant), Our Fortune (Tograllu), Sea Star (Shelar), Star Glory (M.Narredu), Granados (Pasha) and Star Presentation (Parmar) 1-11, 600/36. Won by 2, 3/4, 8 . Sea Ruler easily came from behind and won. Star Presentation planted in the gates.

Second mock race:

1,200m: Doi Moi (Neeraj), Leap Of Faith (Sandesh), Dancing Dame (Baria), Final Attack (V.Jodha), Midnight Club (C.S.Jodha) and Ucandoit (Ranjane) 1-13, 600/37. Won by 3, 2, nk. Doi Moi won comfortably. Final Attack was slowly off by five lengths.
