A staggering Rs. 45.12 million will be on offer for the Invitation Cup and other supporting races to be held here on March 1 and 2.

The Japan Trophy and the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) Million races, both over 1,400m, have been specially framed for the said two days. There will be 16 runners in the fray for the Indian Turf Invitation Cup, 14 in the Sprinters’ Cup, a dozen each for the Stayers’ Cup and the Major P.K. Mehra Memorial Super Mile Cup.

The ARF’s Executive Council members from Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore and Dubai are likely to witness the action over the week-end. India, the other permanent member, will host the Asian Racing Conference in December 2015 or January 2016.
