The Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) has touched an all-time high, offering a total stake of Rs. 7,40,91,000 alongwith trophies valued at Rs. 23,29,000 for its forthcoming monsoon season. The said prize is by far the highest in the country. The 28-day season gets underway on July 21.
While all notices and general conditions are the same as last year, there are no races set aside for horses with rating upto 25 this time in category III. They have been merged with those rated upto 50 with conditions to accommodate all types of horses in category III.
The DB Fillies and DB Colts trial races will be Grade III from this year.
The Derby day will be truly unforgettable, as memorial races have been dedicated to all founder members. Each of these will be sweepstakes events with attractive added money.
Racing dates: July 21, 22 and 26, Aug. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16 (Nizam's Gold Cup), 22 (A.P.Governor's Cup), 23, 29 (DB Fillies Trial Stakes) and 30, Sept. 5 (DB Colts Trial Stakes), 6, 12 (President Of India Gold Cup), 13, 19 (A.P.Chief Minister's Cup), 20, 26 and 27, Oct. 2 (Golconda Textiles Deccan Derby), 3 (Melbourne Racing Club Trophy), 9, 11, 17 (Golconda St.Leger), 18 and 25.
