Police say armed men have shot and killed three-time Pakistani Olympic boxer Abrar Hussain.

Police officer Hamid Shakil says Hussain died after assailants shot him in the head while he was driving from his office in Quetta.

The 50-year-old Hussain represented Pakistan in the 1984, ‘88 and ‘92 Olympics.

He was serving as deputy director of sports in the capital of the Balochistan province.

Police said no arrests have been made, and that the motive for the killing was unclear.
