Asian Games gold medallist and two-time World Cup Final champion Ronjan Sodhi came up with a better fare in the second shotgun trials to enhance his chances of making the double trap team for the first shotgun World Cup to be staged in Tucson, US, in April.

Ronjan shot 132 in the second trial after having shot 124 in the first. His overall average of 128 put him marginally ahead of Snagram Dahiya who shot 131 in both the trials.

Mohd. Asab and Ankur Mittal were consistent overall to be placed at the top ahead of Ronjan.

In men’s skeet, national champion Man Singh (119.5) was followed by former national champions Parampal Singh Guron (117.25) and Mairaj Ahmad Khan (116.75) in the top three slots.

Former Asian champion Man Singh was at his best in the second trial as he shot 121, four points better than what he had accomplished in the first trial.
