As you enter the ballroom, the venue of the match, you can see three robotic cameras inside the sound-proof enclosure, and another in front of the premium ticket seats.

It was Digicast which launched ChessTV , Russia’s first online chess channel, which telecasts the world’s largest chess tournaments live.
The feed from ChessTV is given to Doordarshan which distributes it.

Daniel Roed Johansen, who is covering the World championship for a Norwegian newspaper, says there is a huge interest in chess back home. “It’s a great experience to be here in India, on my first visit,” says the 20-year-old.
Picture perfect
Soumya Swaminathan is a one of the more regular visitors at the World championship.
The former World junior girls’ champion from Pune could be seen clicking away with her little camera.
She is indeed making good use of her time in Chennai; she fared well in the WGM tournament and is now playing the Chennai Open.
“Please don’t ask me about the Open,” she smiles. “I am playing badly.”
