Defending champion Tamil Nadu defeated Telangana while Kerala edged out Puducherry in the men’s semifinals of the 40th senior National tennikoit championships on Saturday.

The results: Men: Semifinals: Tamil Nadu bt Telangana 3-0, Kerala bt Puducherry 3-2. Quarterfinals: Puducherry bt Karnataka 3-2, Tamil Nadu bt Maharashtra 3-1, Telangana bt West Bengal 3-0, Kerala bt Andhra Pradesh 3-0. Women: Semifinals: Kerala bt Telangana 3-0, Tamil Nadu bt Maharashtra 3-1. Quarterfinals: Kerala bt Madhya Pradesh 3-0, Telangana bt Uttakhand 3-0, Tamil Nadu bt AP 3-0, Maharashtra bt Goa 3-1.
