National boys’ chess championship: Four boys share the lead

Top seed Diptayan Ghosh of Bengal (6 points) joined overnight leader B. Kumaran of Tamil Nadu (6), K. Murali (6) and Nubairshah Shaikh (6) in a four-way lead at the end of the seventh round of the 39th sub-junior National boys’ chess championship here on Saturday.

Women’s FIDE Master M. Mahalakshmi (TN) maintained her lead in the 30th sub-junior National girls’ meet with 6.5 points. Her Statemate G.K. Monnisha (6) also stayed in contention for the title.
