Indu, Sakshi bag gold

Indu Chaudhary and Sakshi Malik won the junior girls gold medals in the 44kg and 63kg weight categories respectively as the Indian team won 15 other lesser medals including four silver in the Asian junior wrestling championship at Almaty, Kazakhstan, recently.

Pooja Danda won the silver in the 59kg section, while Lalita (51kg), Seema (67kg), Ruby Chaudhary (48kg), Ritu (55kg) and Kiran (72kg) won the bronze medals in the girls' event.

In the freestyle section for the boys, Satender (120kg), Bajrang (60kg) and Somveer (84kg) won the silver medals, while the bronze medals were bagged by Devi Singh (50kg), Praveen Rana (66kg), Deepak (74kg) and Yudhvir (96kg).

In the Greco-Roman section, Deepak (66kg) and Bheem (120kg) won the bronze medals.
