India finished 11th among 37 countries logging 85 points in the 9th World Chess Composition Tournament (9WCCT), organised by the World Federation for Chess Composition, recently.
Five composers contributed 17 compositions to achieve this creditable ranking.
The team consisted of K. Seetharaman (team leader), C.G.S. Narayanan, S.K. Balasubramanian, R. Ganapathi and V. Ramaswamy.
The world chess composition tournament is a long-established team event enabling composers from all over the world to compete at international level with new chess problems and studies on set themes.
