Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl

The Baltimore Ravens overcame a big second-half comeback by San Francisco and a long power outage to beat the 49ers 34-31 in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

A power outage early in the second-half stopped America’s biggest sporting event for more than 30 minutes and threatened to rob the Ravens of their momentum.

After the interruption, the 49ers stormed back, cutting a 22-point deficit to just two points but Baltimore hung on as San Francisco came so close to the go-ahead score.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw three first-half touchdown passes and Jacoby Jones returned the second-half kickoff 108 yards, a Super Bowl record.
