Aaron D'Souza joined Saurabh Sangvekar in the London Olympics bound swimming team with an impressive one minute 51.52 seconds in the 200 metres freestyle heats at the 43rd Singapore National age group swimming championship on Wednesday.
His timing was well inside the cut for Olympic invitation time (‘B' standard) of 1:51.59 seconds, according to Pradeep Kumar, head coach of Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre. Aaron improved his timing (1:50.89s) in the final later in the evening. The Olympic qualifying time (‘A' standard) is set at 1:47.82.

No Indian has qualified in Swimming till now.they have attained the Olympic standard time,which doesn't qualify them.They need to be wait till all the results are available and FINA calls the OST people and distribute the quotas till they achieve full slots.till then no one is guaranteed a place.So they need to wait or improve the timings.So they are in top 20 or 30 in their events to have a chance to make the cut.Final call rests with the FINA.
