While Mitchell Johnson comes in place of Ponting, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was inducted in place of Jaspreet Bumrah. Munaf Patel was also dropped from the side to accommodate Pragyan Ojha. In the KKR side, Iqbal Abdulla came in place of Laxmi Ratan Shukla.
