India were always the underdogs in their opening game of the Under-17 World Cup against USA and the difference between the two sides was evident as the hosts conceded three goals at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday.

India were trailing 0-1 at the first half. USA scored in the 30th minute when Joshua Sargent converted a penalty with a right-footed shot. Shortly into the second half, in the 51st minute, Christopher Durkin scored from the centre of the box, following a corner. Then in the 84th minute, Andrew Carleton, assisted by George Acosta, scored from the right side of the box.
