Heavy downpour for the past few days have rendered the Duler and Tilak grounds unplayable, forcing the Goa Football Association (GFA) to postpone the Kingfisher Pro-League’s second round matches scheduled for today and tomorrow.
The rains have been a blessing in disguise for the Sesa Football Club, whose 14 players are down with flu and three others on the injury list.
Earlier, they had asked the GFA to postpone their match against Sporting Clube de Goa on Sunday, which was turned down by the association as Sporting Clube would soon leave for the Durand Cup and any postponement would throw the schedule in disarray, GFA chief Savio Messais said in a statement.
