AC Milan striker Robinho has extended his contract with the Serie A club until the end of the 2015-2016 season.

Robinho had been heavily linked with a return to his boyhood club Santos, but the Brazilian club was unable to finance the deal.

The 29-year-old’s contract was set to expire next summer and Milan confirmed Robinho has signed a two-year extension until June 30, 2016.
