Everton midfielder Phil Neville is considering moving into coaching after announcing his retirement from football late on Saturday.
The 36-year-old former Manchester United and England full back said he had offers from the media and to go into coaching.
Neville is in the process of finishing his UEFA coaching licences and said he had already had great schooling from Sir Alex Ferguson when he was at the MU.
“He gave us a great lesson when I was doing my B licence, with Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs,” Neville said.
Neville is to work as a pundit for the BBC at the 2014 World Cup but said he knows he wants to coach. “I do enjoy the media side but I want to work, I want to coach, I want to get more hours on the grass,” he said.
“I have got two paths — one to go into media, the other to go into coaching and management. I have got offers from both. I will sit down at the end of the tournament.”
A versatile defender who could also play in midfield, Neville won 59 England caps and six Premier League titles and the Champions League with United.
The brother of former United full-back Gary Neville, Phil moved to Everton in 2005 and became captain.
