Manchester City came from behind to preserve their 100 per cent home record in the Premier League on Saturday, beating Everton 3-1.

Romelu Lukaku burst through City’s offside trap to put Everton ahead after 16 minutes, his fourth in three appearances for the Toffees, but within a minute City were level, Alvaro Negredo slotting in after running on to Yaya Toure’s through-ball.

Sergio Aguero put City ahead from David Silva’s pass on the stroke of half-time, and added a second midway through the second-half as his penalty hit the post and bounced in off goalkeeper Tim Howard.
