Mohun Bagan blanked Pailan Arrows 2-0 in a rescheduled 11th round match of the I-League here on Sunday to regain winning form and almost ascertain its stay in the top division of the tournament.

Nigerian Okolie Odafa and Namibian Quinton Jacobs struck once in each session to give Mohun Bagan full points.

Having been thrust into the relegation zone after being asked to start afresh from the 11th round as punishment for abandoning its 10th round match against East Bengal, Mohun Bagan has played the rest of the tournament trying to prevent a demotion to the second division.

Bagan now tallies 25 points from 24 matches and is 10th in the league. Arrows has slipped to 12th place with 23 points from 25 matches.

Being the developmental side of the AIFF, Arrows enjoy immunity from relegation.

The result:At Kolkata: Mohun Bagan 2 (Okolie Odafa 27, Quinton Jacobs 50) bt Pailan Arrows 0.

At Pune: Pune FC 4 (James Moga, Douhou Pierre 2, Boima Karpeh) bt Air India 0.
