AFC Challenge: Rowilson Rodrigues replaces Sandesh Jhingan

Dempo SC defender Rowilson Rodrigues has been named as replacement for Sandesh Jhingan who sustained a groin injury during a training session at the national team’s preparatory camp for the forthcoming AFC Challenge Cup 2014 Qualifiers.

The United Sikkim defender has been released from the ongoing camp in Pune.

Rowilson joined the camp on Saturday.

India are scheduled to play their first match against Chinese Taipei on March 2 followed by matches against Guam and hosts Myanmar on March 4 and March 6 respectively in the qualifiers.
