Two play-off matches of the Indian Premier League, scheduled to be held in Chennai, have been shifted to Delhi.
The IPL Governing Council took the decision on Saturday. They will be played on May 21 and 22.
According to informed sources, the decision was taken to give all teams a fair chance to field their best possible combination.
Some franchises had taken up the issue of not being able to include their Sri Lankan players because of the situation in Tamil Nadu.
The State government had placed a ban on Sri Lankan players and umpires officiating in Chennai. A few matches were held with Sri Lankan players sitting out.
