Indian team resumes training

July 25, 2014 12:04 am | Updated November 16, 2021 05:33 pm IST - Southampton:

The Indian team resumed its training at the Ageas Bowl (formerly Rose Bowl) here on Thursday afternoon. The entire squad assembled and after an initial round of football, had a long session at the nets.

For a few minutes, in jest, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli swapped their batting styles. Dhawan became a right-hander while Kohli in the guise of a southpaw, struck a few clean hits.

The rest of the session turned serious as the batsmen, including the tail, wielded the willow. The bowling unit largely consisted of players who were not part of the playing XI such as Varun Aaron besides local club players.

The third Test will commence here on Sunday and England is scheduled to train from Friday.
