Rahul Dravid can’t wait to play Test cricket again. Back in the squad for the three-Test series against host Sri Lanka, the former India captain declared he was well prepared, in good physical shape and raring to go.

Speaking to mediapersons at the sidelines of the function to launch the 2010 edition of Limca Book of Records on Monday, Dravid said, “Sri Lanka is a very formidable at home. We have a good team this time. On the last two occasions, we did win a Test match but lost the series. Since then, we have learnt our lessons. This time, we have a good chance to win the series. We have the bowlers capable of taking 20 wickets. But we have to put enough runs on the board.”

He was particularly pleased with the fact that India was set to play 14-15 Tests in this calendar year and 11 Tests over the next six months.

“We are due to play both home and away against some exciting countries. I am looking forward to that.”

This “Brazilian fan” who had not missed a single match of his favourite team in the ongoing World Cup, was of the view that that referral system in football was not such a bad idea "when so much is riding on each game. We have seen use of technology in cricket, tennis and many sports in the US. I think there is room for the technology in football.”

Dravid also hailed Saina Nehwal’s “phenomenal” achievement of winning three titles in as many weeks. “I am sure her feat will inspire many youngsters, especially girls, to take up the sport. She has set a new bench mark in a sport that is tough physically.
